Things to do & see

Woombah Woods Caravan Park is centrally located on the beautiful Clarence Coast. There is so much to see & do just a short drive from the park.

Woombah

• Visit the Southernmost Coffee Plantation, Woombah Coffee, share some knowledge (and a cup of coffee and a scone) with our resident coffee growers, Joan and Joy.
• Go canoeing up the Esk River (you will need your own canoe or boat), fish for Bass or catch an eel.
• Go swimming, snorkeling, or surfing at the nearby beaches.

Iluka

• Take a walk along the Iluka Nature Reserve Track, see if you can spot the koalas or one of the many lizards that live there.
• Go four wheel driving along Shark Beach

Yamba & Angourie

• Drive to Angourie and see the Blue and Green Pools and the surf beach that people come from everywhere to use.
• Visit Yamba and see why this area is growing at such a fast rate, have dinner at one of the top class restaurants that are found there or just enjoy looking at the different boats in the Marina, do your grocery shopping at Yamba Fair or visit the shops in the main area.

Maclean & Grafton

• What about a drive to the lovely village of Maclean, where the streets have quaint Scottish names and telegraph poles decorated with all the different tartans of the different clans, a supermarket where the boys actually carry your groceries to your car, where if you drive to the Maclean lookout, you can see the wonderful Clarence River stretched out in front of you. Pick the Sugar Mill out; find all the little arms of our mighty, mighty river.
• Go a little further a-field, travel across the river using a vehicular ferry, and have dinner at the Lawrence Tavern, where a great meal can be had or keep going to Grafton. A very pleasant drive.

Brooms Head & Sandon Point

• Drive out to Brooms Head or Sandon Point and see why so many local people go there for their holidays and fishing.
• This is a lovely, unspoiled area to spend your holidays, but if you want to go on day trips and do the tourist thing.

Byron Bay, the Gold Coast (and all the Theme Parks), Coffs Harbour, Nimbin, and many other towns, are also within easy reach.
